The city of Glendale is located approximately 10 miles northwest of downtown Phoenix. The city has approximately 250,000 residents and is considered one of the major sports hubs in the Phoenix metro area. Glendale is the home of the Arizona Cardinals and the Phoenix Coyotes, both of which play at adjacent stadiums near Camelback Rd. and the 101 Freeway. The Chicago White Sox and Los Angeles Dodgers also make their spring training home in Glendale.
Glendale is one of the older cities in the Phoenix area, however housing in the city consists of a mixture of houses ranging from older homes built in the 1950s to homes that are currently under construction. Glendale offers many housing options, including single family homes, condos and townhomes across various different price ranges.
The city has gone through significant changes and has benefited from improved access to the city via the 101 Freeway. New pockets of shopping and dining can be found throughout the city from Westgate to Arrowhead Ranch and many other locations. Glendale is also home to several colleges including the Thunderbird School of International Management, Midwestern University and Glendale Community College
