Goodyear Arizona is one of the smaller Phoenix metro area suburbs located approximately 17 miles west of downtown Phoenix. The community is part of the southwest valley.
Goodyear has approximately 66,000 residents. Goodyear housing consists primarily of newer homes, and new home construction is ongoing. There are several large master planned communities in the city such as Estrella and Palm Valley as well as many smaller subdivisions. The community is divided by the I-10 freeway which provides easy access to downtown Phoenix, Phoenix Sky Harbor airport, all of the Phoenix metro sports arenas, shopping, dining and more.
Goodyear is the spring training home of the Cleveland Indians and the Cincinnati Reds. Both teams share the Goodyear Ballpark as well as many smaller, surrounding fields and training areas. Goodyear also has several shopping centers, golf courses and restaurants.
Due to affordable, newer housing and excellent access to transportation, Goodyear is positioned for strong growth into the foreseeable future.
